It’s been Almost 10 yrs since I last posted.  I’m still quilting and my sewing room has changed quite a bit.

My Sewing Spot

I've enjoyed Ellison Lane's spotlight on sewing rooms.  The featured blogs and pictures show so much creativity!  I am a sewist who is trying to get going with quilting.  Recently I made an extra bedroom become my creative space.  Here are a few pics of how it's coming along.

 

My sewing desk from Ikea.  It has enough room for two machines.  The little white cabinet with lots of drawers is just perfect for organizing sewing goodies.  I love vintage machines and have a collection of several Singers. 

 

 

 

This Ikea bookcase stores books, sewing machine repair items, some fabric and other assorted items.  I also started a collection of vintage magazine ads for Singer Sewing Machines and old photos of Singer Sewing Centers.

 

 

 

A lucky Craigslist find was the card catalog.  The many drawers are perfect for organizing all kinds of sewing goodness!

 

This stainless steel table is just the right size for my cutting mat and the height of the table is comfortable.  The old Singer on the bottom was a gift from someone at work.  The empty wall would be perfect for a design wall, don't you agree?
